Court Extends Judicial Custody: Reports
Ashok Kharat, a self-styled ‘Godman’, is being investigated in several r*pe, harassment, cheating, and money laundering cases. As per the latest news updates, the holiday court in Nashik has extended his custody till April 23. His custody has been extended in a fifth r*pe case, as per a report by The Hindu.
When Was Ashok Kharat Arrested?
The astrologer was taken into police custody on March 18 for allegedly r*ping a 35-year-old man. Later several cases followed against. SIT is currently investigating his case, and in their probe, they have found that the astrologer allegedly harassed many women under the pretext of helping them. This has led many women to deal with severe mental health issues. The SIT also put down several videos of Ashok Kharat from around 170 adult sites. They have also assured the victims of making sure that more videos will not be circulated on social media.

Ashok Kharat’s Money Laundering Allegations
As per the last updates, the Enforcement Directorate had also launched a probe in many cities. They found several bank accounts under Kharat’s name, his wife’s, and his CA. Many suspicious transactions were also discovered.
