Male Police Officers Allegedly Raise Hands On Women During CJP Protest

Police and the government are currently facing citizens’ wrath over the disturbing visuals that have surfaced amid the Cockroach Janata Party’s protest in Delhi. In one of the videos, we could see a police officer allegedly putting a stick behind a young girl’s back. On the other hand, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Northeast Delhi Sandeep Lamba has reportedly raised eyebrows after a video featuring him allegedly slapping a woman during the protest went viral. When this clip started making the rounds, Abhijit Dipke, president of CJP, claimed that Lamba was the same officer who had allegedly climbed on a truck to hit Sonam Wangchuk’s wife Geetanjali earlier, adding that he also allegedly grabbed her hair. Netizens have been expressing anger and disappointment over those alleged violations and asking for accountability.

Apart from them, other celebrities like Shabana Azmi, Prakash Raj, and Swara Bhaskar physically joined the movement led by the Cockroach Janata Party in Delhi. For the unversed, youth, who are protesting at Jantar Mantar, are demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over alleged irregularities during NEET examinations. Amid this, many are also calling out celebrities like Katrina Kaif, Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, and more for not voicing their opinion on the movement!
