An amusing story that has been reported from Uttar Pradesh reveals that four women had different plans with the money of Pradhan Mantri’s Awas Yojana and it is not good news for their husbands. The women who eloped with their lovers as soon as the scheme’s money was transferred to their accounts have left the husbands devastated and well, with many other problems. 

For the unversed, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana basically aims to give a house to every low-income family who cannot afford one. The scheme also empowers women to either become house owners or have an equal share in the house. But this was not the plan laid out by the four UP women. They instead ran away with their lovers, and the ₹50,000 too!

As per the news, the husbands were left shattered on learning that their wives ran away with the first installment of the PM Awas Yojana. They immediately brought this to the concerned government officials’ notice and requested them to not send the second installment to the same bank account. Now, the authorities are also wondering how will they take the installments back from the women who ran away with them.

The women have definitely left behind a lot of problems for all these men. This one-of-a-kind news is hilarious but well, concerning too because then it takes away from the entire motive behind the idea of the PM Awas scheme. Bizarre but that’s the reality apparently.
