As a millennial, not only do I dislike online dating but I also question the choices Gen Z makes when they swipe and pick their partner of off a dating app. And I’m sure most millennials resonate with me but guys, we’re wrong because it looks like Gen Z women have their priorities right. As per insights from the women-first dating app, Bumble, Gen Z women are changing the dating trends by making their intentions clear. The data suggests that the Indian Gen Z ladies priorities certain personality traits and behaviours that seem to be reinventing the online dating game!

1. Kindess Bhi Hai Zaroori!

Just like Aditya Roy Kapur values kindness in a person, Gen Z women too look for polite, kind and empathetic partners. And no, they don’t just look for superficial kindness, they dive deeper and look for things like compassion, respect, empathy and other things that are essential for one to be kind. In fact, as per the data, 53% women prioritise kindness over physical attributes in people they meet, talk and date.

2. Clear Dating Goals Hain Priority!

When it comes to dating, Gen Z women want more clarity and no mind games. 58% women like people who are honest and upfront about their dating goals and intentions from the start and 39% Indian Gen Z women termed inconsistency and emotional unavailability as major red flags. Us too!

3. Type And Stereotype Ka Time Gaya!

The Gen Z women are breaking stereotypes and societal beauty standards when it comes to dating. They’re no longer focusing on physical attributes or “type” when looking for a partner online. According to the data, 41% women stated that they believe that love comes in all shapes and sizes and we agree! Talk, dark and handsome is so last season!

4. Red Flags Ka Lehenga Nahi Chaiye!

46% Gen Z women are not ready to put up with toxic behaviour, 42.5% women believe disrespectful and dismissive behaviours are a red flag and 46.5% consider self-centred and selfish behaviours as major dating red flags. Gone are the days when women fell for toxic boys!

5. Boundaries Hain Green Flags
