Woman Vaccinated Four Times Tests Covid Positive At Indore Airport, Stopped From Boarding Flight

It’s almost been 2 years since the Covid-19 pandemic took over the globe and even though it seemed as though things were getting better, it clearly is not. With the onset of the new Covid-19 variant, Omicron, the cases have been rising, and fear is again instilled in people. In fact, there are even cases of people getting infected with the virus even after taking the vaccination. Scary, isn’t it? One such case took place at Indore airport on Wednesday. A woman who was vaccinated four times tested positive for Covid-19 at the airport and was then stopped from boarding her flight.

Yep, a 44-year-old woman who is a Dubai resident who had taken four doses of two different vaccines against Covid-19 was tested positive for the virus on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 at Indore airport. She was then stopped from boarding Air India’s Dubai-bound flight.

Talking about the incident, Dr. Priyanka Kourav, Indore Health Department’s Medical Officer, said, “As per the standard practice, rapid RT-PCR tests are conducted during the weekly Indore-Dubai flight and as part of it, 89 passengers were tested today. A woman among them was found infected with coronavirus.”

As per the reports, one of the officials said that the Dubai-based woman who tested positive for Covid-19 had come 12 days back to Mhow town near Indore to attend a wedding of a close relative. And she had taken two doses each of Sinopharm and Pfizer’s anti-COVID-19 vaccines between January and August.

As of now, the woman is asymptomatic but she did inform the airport staff that she was suffering from a cold and cough four days back. The symptoms are in line with the Covid-19 virus. The Health Department has gotten her admitted to the government hospital in Indore itself.

Even though things are a bit lenient now, there is no denying that Covid-19 cases are rising. Precautions still need to be taken so that we don’t have another lockdown. So peeps, please make sure to wear a mask, sanitize yourself, and make sure you don’t travel until absolutely necessary. Stay safe.
