Wife Tells Court That She Was Harassed For Objecting To Her Husband’s Porn Addiction

Everything in a limit is acceptable. But just when you start crossing that limit, the thing becomes an addiction. And what is worse is the fact that sometimes when someone’s addiction is pointed out, they react in a destructive manner. In fact, there are times when people with addiction make life worse for those who object to their addiction and try helping them. Take the instance of this woman who, during her court case, alleged that she was harassed when she objected to her husband’s porn addiction.

A 36-year-old woman from the Jayanagar area in Bengaluru claimed that her husband harassed her when she objected to his porn addiction. The couple has been married to each other since the year 2019.

It was on the orders of the First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) court that the Basavanagudi women police took up the case of the woman’s husband on Monday. According to reports, in her petition, the woman alleged that her husband was addicted to porn and would chat online with girls all night. She even claimed that he spent money on those girls.

In the petition that was submitted before the local court, the 36-year-old stated that her husband had subscribed to many porn websites and “also sent her photos to call girls.” As per the report, the husband had created a profile on a matrimony website where he had mentioned that he was a divorcee.

Further, the woman claimed that when she objected to his porn addiction, she was “abused” and even given stale food to eat. She said, “He started harassing me for objecting to his conduct. His parents also supported him. They forced me to eat stale food and avoided taking me to family functions and abused me.”

It really is sickening to hear that someone can harass and abuse the person who’s trying to help them. Addiction of any kind – including porn – can be quite destructive; not just for the person who is addicted to it but also for those around him/her. Knowing your limits and being open to criticism is the best way to prevent yourself from getting addicted to anything and everything.
