Vidya Balan’s Saree Looks Have So Many Interesting Stories To Tell
I have to say that out of all the options we have when we go Indian, sarees are by far my most favorite. There is something special about them. And I know most of the women might complain about it being too complicated to wear, which it can be. But there are those also who can pull off a saree like no one’s business. Now, I’m not being narcissistic, but I can rock a saree when the time calls for it. And another person that I know kills it in a saree is the actress, Vidya Balan. I mean, her in a saree is quite a sight to watch. I can’t emphasize enough how gracefully she pulls off a saree.
And recently, Vidya Balan took to Instagram and posted a few pictures of her wearing a stunning nature-inspired saree that had everyone gawking. Looking at her saree post, the one thing that came to mind was – I really want to raid her saree collection.
The Bollywood actress had gone full out while promoting her film, Sherni – whether it is through symbolism and or puns in her fashion sense. And this time Vidya Balan raised the standards by bringing back vintage fashion to our Instagram feeds in the most aesthetic way possible.

The national-award-winning actress, Vidya Balan, posted a picture of herself gracefully wearing a printed black and yellow saree with a light embodied lace to go with it. The saree was paired with a sleeveless blouse and fun scarf tied around her bun to give a fusion feel to the entire outfit.
Vidya Balan then accessorized the entire outfit with gold and diamond earrings, a large ring, and minimal makeup; that made her saree the showstopper. The Flora and Fauna silk saree was created by the designer Devyani Mehrotra and is priced at ₹12,900. Whereas the scarf she wore had a similar print and the scarves by the brand ranged from ₹2,400 to ₹3,000.
The Kahaani actress was seen wearing the same saree earlier this June. In her throwback pictures of the saree, Vidya Balan wrote below them “I am told I am knotty!” The actress with her stunning images has caused quite a stir on social media for all the right reasons.
Vidya Balan with all her curves has broken the stigma that “healthy” women can’t pull off a saree. I mean there are very few actresses that can pull off a saree the way she does. Her confidence and self-acceptance of her body shine through – which makes her even appealing in sarees. The fact is that a woman can and should wear anything that she feels comfortable in. Let’s not allow society to decide what a woman can wear and cannot wear based on their body type.
