Vidya Balan And Taapsee Pannu Go Back To Work But Follow All Safety Norms. Are We Limping Back To Normalcy?

At this point, having lost track of how many weeks it has been since I’ve stepped out of my house, not because I needed a desperate refill of Nutella, but because once upon a time I used to go to work. Those were the good times. We had to wear more than pyjamas and we could wear makeup! Chances are (and they are pretty high), that when thrown back into an office environment, I wouldn’t know how to react. With coffee runs replaced with quick naps, human interaction with meme-sharing and work-desk with a work-bed, going back to work suddenly seems alien. But even then, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to just how much I miss the office banter and a straight non-paining back.

As must have a lot of others, who upon the initiation of the unlock, have finally decided to go back to work and how. Actress Hina Khan was out and about, back to shooting and dubbing studios, and adding to the list we have Vidya Balan, who will soon be seen in the biopic of the great mathematician – Shakuntala Devi. Giving us a sneak peek through her Instagram stories, Vidya shared a picture from what seemed like her vanity van, but could easily be mistaken for a hospital ward, considering how the people were covered in PPE kits.

Captioning her story as “Back to work” along with a prayer emoji, we could almost sense the relief along with the worry that comes when people resuming work in this environment. To be seen in the digital release of her next movie, she shared how everyone realised the seriousness of the situation and are all trying to do the best they can from sanitisation to social distancing. She also urged the fans to be equal careful and cautious and be responsible towards their own safety.

Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu also went back to work on Tuesday, as was very clear with her Instagram stories. Giving us a glimpse of the make up room, seems like she too is back at the sets to resume shooting that had been put on halt for months now.

Others who have also finally stepped out after the lockdown have been Sunny Leone, who was seen shooting for a dance number and anchor/actor Manish Paul, who was all ready to go back to the sets of Sa re ga ma pa and shared, “I am immensely excited to resume the shoot after 100 days of staying indoors and I’m looking forward to shoot a fun-filled episode after such a long time.” He also mentioned, “Keeping in mind the current scenario we are going to maintain social distancing on the sets too and take all the required precautions as we resume shooting.” And the fact that celebrities are making sure to be cautious, is not just wise but also reassuring in such times.
