One of them is Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath who recently said that no woman wears hijab by her own choice.

Yogi Adityanath then said that he has seen the tears of such women. He said that one woman from Jaunpur even thanked PM Modi for abolishing triple talaq. He then said that clothing is a matter of personal choice and no one can be forced to wear something they don’t want to. However, when there is an institution, there should be discipline maintained. “I didn’t force my sartorial choice on any official. Can I ask everyone at my office to wear bhagua (saffron)? Can I say this to everyone in my party? I can’t. Everyone should have freedom and if there’s an institution, there should be a discipline in that institution,” he said, according to reports.
These comments by Yogi Adityanath have come at a time when the country is in a lot of unrest over the Karnataka Hijab row. Muslim students have been opposing the hijab ban in Karnataka government schools and colleges to enforce the dress code.
