Twitterati Has Us In Splits Yet Again. This Time With Some Hilarious ‘Gonna Tell My Kids..’ Memes!
Usually, whenever anyone asks me what my favourite social media platform is, my lips say ‘Instagram’. And while I honestly spend most of my time on the gram, every once in a while, Twitter comes along and makes me think otherwise, especially when it goes in to that crazy meme-fest mode. While most of the times it is after the launch of a trailer or a movie that we get to see some innovation and creative thinking in form of hilarious memes, this time they are riding on the trending ‘Gonna tell my kids’ meme. And we have to say, the Indian version of it is has us laughing ourselves silly.

What started with completing the phrase ‘Gonna tell my kids that..’, soon turned itself into a meme-challenge where people came up with funny, untrue and comically impossible answers to make it so funny, our bellies are aching. The way you do it is by simply picking up a celebrity, an icon, a pop singer, a movie character or anyone that is famous and pair it with someone totally unrelatable, telling your kids who you want them to believe this is even though it is as from reality as possible.
Indians too obviously, joined in on this kind of ‘wrong answers only’, kinda party and we have to give it to them, they had some of the best reactions and memes to the trend. From taking up old Indian movies to even sports like cricket, Twitterati left no stone unturned into spinning some slap-stick and harmless lies to tell their kids, and at one point we found ourselves convinced that this would be a lie we would be willing to take very far.
