We have all grown up on a healthy dose of Bollywood movies. There is something about a typical Bollywood movie, even the bad ones, that just hooks you. The reason though I fell in love with Bollywood is simple, actually is only because of one person- Shahrukh Khan. I have never had the pleasure of meeting him. Although, that might be a good thing since I know for sure that I would make a complete fool of myself the second he flashes that dreamy smile at me. There is no doubt in my mind that I would start giggling and blushing like a fifth-grade girl trying to talk to her first ever crush. 

I think we have established that I might be madly infatuated with Shahrukh Khan. But can you blame me? I remember the onset of this crush. When I was in school, I was watching DDLJ one night and the scene where Shahrukh and Kajol are trapped in that barn came on and he said the famous senorita dialogue. I knew then if there is someone who is perfect, it would be him. 

Now, the reason I am sharing my embarrassing crush with the world is that there is someone who might love Shahrukh as much as me or even a little more. I am talking about Dangal actress, Fatima Sana Shaikh. Did you’ll know that Fatima is a child artiste who worked with Shahrukh on the movie One 2 Ka 4? Talking about her experience, she explains how she fell in love with him.

 In a recent interview with Filmfare, Fatima said, “He had no idea that this five-year-old kid is in love with him.” She further added that since she was the youngest person on set, she would receive a lot of attention. Then one day, when SRK was playing with her she thought that is a “perfect life”. 

Although her childhood bliss didn’t last very long. She then found out that SRK was married. She said, “I got to know that he is married and my heart broke. You have no idea, I cried. It was like a proper, legitimate break-up for me. I cried so much. It was so heartbreaking and I was so upset that he is married.” 

I think every single 90’s kid can relate to this. I might not have cried when I found out that SRK was married, but still he was every 20-something girl’s, first love. He is the embodiment of Prince Charming from every fairytale ever. 

 Anyway, on the work front, Fatima is now waiting for the release of Anurag Basu’s crime anthology Ludo. Which also stars Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanya Malhotra and Aditya Roy Kapur. Ludo will release on Netflix.
