6 Ways To Keep Yourself Fresh On A Flight

Taking a flight to a new destination is super exciting, right? I mean what’s not to love? Arriving at the airport in your most comfy chic clothes with the anticipation of discovering a new place slowly building — it’s amazing. But the best bit is when you have the window seat all to yourself. But while flying can be exhilarating, it can also get really tiring, especially if it’s a long haul flight. Sitting cooped up inside an airplane for hours at a stretch can drain you and leave you feeling withered.

While several people recommend keeping yourself active by walking up and down the aisle at regular intervals, there are several other ways in which you can keep yourself fresh. From staying hydrated to taking short naps, here’s a list of things you must do to be refreshed and energised for when you land!

1. Carry A Pack Of Mints

Carrying a pack of mints while flying is a really good idea. It can wake you up instantly and also keep bad breath at bay when you land in your destination.

2. Use A Neck Pillow

I’ve often emerged from an airplane with a sprained neck. Those seats can get really uncomfortable on long flights. So carry a neck pillow for comfort and support. This way, you can catch some much-needed shuteye minus bad posture.

3. Stay Hydrated

It’s very important to keep yourself hydrated. The dry air inside an aircraft is bad news for your skin and hair. To combat this, make sure to keep sipping water or green tea at regular intervals. Avoid aerated drinks, unless you want a sugar rush!

4. Snack Right

While flights can tempt you into buying and eating lots of junk food, try not to. Instead, carry a little box of nuts with you for a healthier option. Plus, it’ll keep the hunger pangs at bay and help you feel full.

5. Wash Your Face And Moisturise

Whenever you pop into the ladies room, splash your face with some water (or clean it with a face wash) and don’t forget to moisturise with an intensely hydrating cream. Once again, the dry air can really suck the moisture out of your skin, so ensure you hydrate your skin with a nourishing cream as often as you can.

6. Take A Nap

The simplest solution is also the most effective one. Thanks to the busy lives we lead, a long-haul flight gives you some time to catch up on lost sleep. So make sure you take a long nap or two. It will leave you feeling rested and refreshed and ready to take on the holiday with renewed energy!
