Asim Riaz’s brother Umar Riaz dismissed the religious conversion claims surrounding Himanshi Khurana.
Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana’s online feud is grabbing all the headlines. Now, his brother and Bigg Boss 15 contestant, Umar Riaz, also became a part of it by dismissing the religious conversion claims. Rumours that religious differences were the reason behind their breakup began making the rounds previously. However, they intensified after she appeared on Paras Chhabra’s podcast and talked about her past relationship and her faith! Know what Umar had to say about her and Asim’s breakup.
What Did Umar Riaz Say?
Asim Riaz’s brother Umar Riaz spoke to News18 and addressed the religion conversion claims. He accused Himanshi Khurana of ruining his brother’s reputation and claimed that it was pre-planned, as she came on the show after three years and didn’t say anything good about that relationship, adding that she and Asim Riaz were together for four years. Further, he stated that he was the third person and didn’t know everything inside the relationship; however, Umar revealed that she had come to their house, stayed there, and met his parents. Umar stated that Himanshi has seen that they belong to a conservative Muslim family and knew that they are not a very liberal and rich family. Umar stated that they live by some rules and regulations, and that was it. He asked if anyone thinks anybody can force her and opined that he doesn’t think anybody can. The reality show star expressed feeling that Himanshi should be a politician. He stated that the way she has described the relationship was as though everything was centred around religion.
Umar Riaz On Their Breakup
Umar Riaz was further asked if Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana’s breakup happened because of the alleged religious conversion. He opined that breakups can happen on a lot of grounds. He shared the example that when people are no longer compatible, and issue arise. However, Umar stated that maybe, because they wanted to settle, religion can be a problem. Having mentioned this, Umar said that they do not force anybody, adding that they are educated people and see others with compassion, love, personality and what they contribute to society. Umar shared that all he was saying was that a relationship can have a lot of problems. According to him, she could have said, “Okay, religion, was there a problem,” adding that whatever she felt, he respected that. He expressed that just portraying Asim like he wanted to convert her was wrong. Umar stated that it was a very “cheap” tactic of garnering attention and work in the industry, and it doesn’t last long.
