This Model Spent Lakhs On Surgery That Would Shorten Her Forehead By A Mere 3 Centimetres

Who remembers that iconic scene from Lindsey Lohan’s Mean Girls where the plastics (Regina, Karen and Gretchen) are standing in front of a mirror and talking about their least favourite attributes? I remember that scene so clearly because as funny as that was, we can’t deny that we all have insecurities about our bodies. However, there are people who go the extra mile to correct whatever they feel isn’t in proportion or can simply look better. Recently, we read about this US model who went through an extensive, not to mention costly, surgery to reduce her forehead size by 3 cm. I was baffled at this. I am not against corrective surgeries but this just seems like too much effort for very little change.

26-year-old Camilla Coleman Brooks, a US-based model, said that she spent a decade trying to her cover her forehead which was 8.5 cm in size. She spent a whopping £5,000 (Rs 5 lakhs) on surgery to have it shortened by 3cms. Her forehead now measures 5.5 cms. I am no expert but I barely see a difference.

After years of hiding her forehead with bangs or hats, Camilla finally decided to have surgery that would change her hairline position. After her procedure, she shared a before and after picture on TikTok. Camilla said, “When I was younger I would always style my hair and notice how big it looked. For the last few years, I’ve hidden it under a fringe or a hat. I am so happy with the results now that I’ve had the surgery. I didn’t need the procedure to make me happy, but I love how I now look.”

The mother of two said that she was extremely pleased with the results. When asked about her post-surgery experience, Camilla said that she had to wear a bandage around her forehead for a while and couldn’t move her eyebrows properly. But things went back to normal after a few days and she didn’t have to hide her forehead anymore. She said, “I couldn’t move my eyebrows properly for the first few days but it’s back to normal now. The top part of my forehead is still numb and it may take a while for the feeling to return there.”

However, she has a scar running across her newly structured forehead. But according to the doctors that will heal in a few weeks. Camilla revealed that she got a lot of negative comments from netizens but her partner, Terrance, was incredibly supportive.

We are glad that her partner was supportive but going through an entire surgery, which is mighty expensive, just to shorten your forehead by 3 cms hardly seems worth it. But hey, as long as she is happy, right?
