This Couple Had A Destination Wedding In Disneyland Paris And It Was Every Bit Like A Fairytale
What would you do if you had a lot of money to spend? If I were getting married and my budget was rather humongous, I would still have a small wedding. The rest I would spend on my honeymoon and save some for future vacays. But that’s me and these are my middle-class aspirations. Also, I really don’t like being the centre of attention so the smaller the wedding, the better.
Having said that, I still romanticise the idea of a grand wedding which looks like a fairytale. Imagine walking down the aisle, with all eyes on you and feeling like the king and queen of the world. So what if I can’t afford that even if I sell both mine and my future husband’s kidneys? So what if I have stage-fright? A girl can dream! And when I see a dream-like wedding, it warms my heart and makes me go like the heart-eyed emoji. So when I came across the wedding pictures of Varun Bhanot and Anisha Seth, I was thrilled and I had to share it with you. What’s so special? The couple became the first Indians to tie the knot in (hold your breath!) Disneyland Paris. Yeah, that’s right. Okay, even if I can’t have this wedding, I wish I had rich friends who could. Sigh!
Varun and Anisha gave their 350 guests an experience of a lifetime. Now I believe just any wedding at Disneyland has to be a breath-taking one but imagine Mickey Mouse and Goofy performing bhangra to a dhol! That can only happen in an Indian wedding and it did on the first day of the festivities. From Disney Illuminations Fireworks show to a genie entertaining the guests at the Aladdin’s Agrabah Café, it was setting the mood for the grandeur that was to follow. Honestly, I would have been happy with just this too. Then at midnight, Anisha and Varun had a white wedding in front of the enchanting Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. She entered on a horse carriage, dressed in a floor-length white gown.

The couple had a traditional wedding on the second day, in front of the Disney Lake. The groom came with a baraat and the bride entered in a palanquin. At the reception, the couple had their first dance alongside Minnie and Mickey. Aww, what a couple to share the stage with! Who could have possibly thought?
