This American Woman Uses Tang And Lemonade To Make A Cup Of Chai. Just When I Thought TikTok Couldn’t Get Any More Traumatising.
I am not usually a temperamental kind of person but there are a few little things that really get onto my nerves. Someone disrespecting my private space, losing or damaging a novel I lent them, messing with the things in my room (yeah, I have a little OCD about that) but topping the list of things that annoy me is some messing with my morning chai.
You know, Indians aren’t exactly what you call agreeable with each other but if there is one thing a majority of us will agree on it’s that morning cup of chai. It’s the most soothing and sacred thing and anyone messing it up is like a personal attack (I might exaggerate but that’s the feeling). So, you can only imagine my horror when I saw this American lady who made (more like butchered) “hot tea”. That shit would be a medical marvel for it could kill someone with diabetes after just 2 cups.
Disclaimer: If you are a chai lover with a health condition, do not read further. For the rest of you’ll be prepared for the shock of your lives and maybe a few gag reflexes.

The video starts out by Michelle, an American woman who lives in the UK . Okay, I am a little relieved because I know that the Brits enjoy their tea as much as we do. She’s American, so she’s allowed. She goes on to explain how she likes to add a lot of ingredients to her tea. Then the video shifts to her daughter who adds in a large bowl, and I am not making this up, instant tea powder (I started judging them from here only but it gets worse), lemonade powder, Tang (isn’t this orange juice?!), two whole big cups of sugar (shudders), cinnamon powder and cloves.
Then the girl mixes all this together, warms some water in the microwave and adds two-three spoons of the mixture into the water. I don’t think I would make this even if my life depended on it.
This concoction might have instant tea powder but calling it tea is a huge insult to the beverage. Just when I thought TikTok (or Americans) couldn’t get weirder, some woman makes a video of making tea with Tang in it. News Flash- that’s not tea, that’s just warm lemonade tang mixed with concentrated sugar solution and tea powder. Chai lovers everywhere are going to be so offended. We might even have our PM come after you.
Needless to say, this video has left social media scarred for life. People on Twitter are calling this a crime scene and it kind of is. This woman definitely murdered the concept of “hot tea”. Anyway, check out some of the hilarious responses this video got.

Whoever this woman is, she should not be allowed 50 feet within a kitchen because I so sure next time it’ll be a blood bath and the murder weapon will be all that excessive sugar.
