This Teacher From Rajasthan Was Arrested For Asking Girl Students For Sexual Favours In Return For Good Marks

Teachers play a huge role in shaping a child’s mind and personality. They say it’s one of the noblest professions. None of us would be who we are without the guidance of our teachers. However, while most teachers are caring and strict, there are a few that are just a disgrace to the profession. Like this teacher from Rajasthan for instance. He, allegedly, touched the girl students inappropriately and demanded sexual favours in exchange for clearing them in examinations. It’s sickening. 

The undercurrent to this scenario, where a person uses his position and power over the students to ask for sexual favours and knows that young girls might be easily coerced into such things, is absolutely disgusting. And it’s worrying for parents of girls.

On Friday, the Alwar police held a teacher of a government school in Neemrana. This was after multiple girl students claimed that he touched them inappropriately and demanded sexual favours from them.

The students made these accusations before the block education officer when he visited the school for an inspection. A police official told TOI that, “During the inspection, many girls of the school complained that the teacher used to touch them inappropriately and was also pressuring them to make physical relations else he will fail them in exams.”  

The accused, who is a political science teacher, was arrested and sent to jail until 2nd January 2021 by a local POSCO court. This is honestly disgusting. It baffles me that a person can misuse his position in such a way. Touching girl students and asking them for sexual favours. It’s scary and sickening. I really hope that the court puts him behind bars for a long time.
