And while my reasons for crushing on Queen B are as simple as the fact that she is no less than a goddess, my fondness for the former has grown over the years. From the moment I saw her making India proud by winning the title at the prestigious Miss Universe pageant, and then going on to breaking every stereotype a single woman is subjected to in a society like ours, to me, Sushmita is a force to reckon with.
Be it watching her on the big screen in old movies like Biwi No. 1 or the iconic Main Hoon Na or witnessing her speak flawlessly during interviews, there is a certain charisma about Sushmita which makes it awfully hard for anyone to not fall in love with her.

With her last Bollywood movie being No Problem back in 2010 and then a Bengali film named Nirbaak in 2015, the actress has been MIA on the silver screen for 5 years now. But that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten her iconic roles in Main Hoon Na and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. At this point we’d probably give anything to see her palat one more time in a saree like that!
First time we’re going to see her in action
Having always donned roles that put her in a glamorous light, this time chances are that we will be seeing her do some action on screen as opposed to romance. Based on a Dutch series, Aarya is a remake of a series named Penoza and with her in the titular role of a woman you wouldn’t want to mess with, we can’t wait to see how she carries herself in this outing.

Since the beginning, every cause, every issue and every work that she has collaborated with or joined hands for, be it fighting for women rights or adopting a girl child as a single mother, has always been of great significance.
