Sperm Donation. IVF. Affairs. Alcoholism. This Tale Has All The Drama As Sperm Donor Takes Away ‘His’ Sons Leaving The Mother Helpless
As someone who has only recently gotten into a relationship after staying single for almost 4 years, I would have to admit that the charm of a single’s life is quite unmatched. The independence, the zero accountability and the never going to bed upset part are all pretty worth it. Of course when you’re in love, the feeling itself consumes you and that is a different thrill altogether, but nothing close to being on your own, doing your own thing. However, things aren’t slightest bit the same when you’re divorced though. And also, a woman. And what happened with a woman in Ahmedabad after she got divorced and the tale is pretty telling of the alarming reality we live in.
There are many distinctions, obvious biases and lots of playing favourites that the society has for men and women but the one that is the most infuriating of them all is not extending the same kind of respect, claim or status in the society. Not only do men easily abandon their wife, but what’s worse is that the woman then unfortunately continues to live at the mercy of other men. And this woman, whom we are calling ‘Sheela’, has a similar story where she got exploited at the hands of not one, but two men in her life.
Having fallen in love with a man of her choice, Sheela married a man from Vastral and four years into the marriage they decided to try for a baby. However, with normal pregnancy not an option for them, her husband suggested her the idea of an IVF treatment, for which she underwent the treatment to ultimately give birth to two twins. During this course, the couple also met with the man who was the sperm donor for the couple.

First the Donor was dating his client which should be kept confidential (as I learned from Vikki Donor ) then he ditched her , turned rogue and takes away his TWIN sons.

5 years went by, the couple continued to live their life happily and like a family, until her husband started drinking. From occasional drinking to becoming alcoholics, his slip into alcoholism invited marital trouble for the two, especially when he started fighting with Sheela over how the twins were not really his kids. Tired of explaining to him how he was the one who suggested they go for an IVF, Sheela decided to separate from him and started living alone, working as domestic helper to sustain herself and her kids.
At this point, already have lost enough in her life, Sheela was trying to start a new life for herself, working relentlessly to make ends meet. Call it fate (a bad one though, and you’ll find out why), she happened to cross paths with the same sperm donor who had made the pregnancy happen. One thing led to another, the two started dating, as the sperm donor started assuming a more active role in her life, also helping her take care of the children.
5 months ago, when Sheela found out she had gotten pregnant with his child, she proposed the idea of a marriage again, which the donor heartlessly refused. And things didn’t just end here. Leaving her pregnant, he then decided to walk out of her life, with the twins by calling them his own children. Because at this point, absolutely anything was happening. In one swift moment, the woman once again lost everything in her life, while the men got what they wanted and left her for good.
Meanwhile, a counsellor concerning the matter shared, “She had already run out of resources and due to the lack of work, she stayed afloat for a few months on her savings. But from July, it was difficult for her to get back to normal. After repeated notices from her landlord, she had to leave her home. As she was pregnant, she called Abhayam 181 to seek help. ”
We’re not sure why they had access to the sperm donor or even if it’s legal but clearly this entire thing has landed the woman in a situation that’s less than favourable.
