Shraddha Kapoor Doesn’t Let The Box Office Numbers Stop Her From Experimenting. You Go, Girl!

You can’t accuse Shraddha Kapoor of being stereotypical. She’s tried a bunch of things and even if they haven’t worked, she hasn’t given up easily. Her growth from her first film has been phenomenal and we love how she’s grown as an actor. And like every actor, she’s had her share of ups and downs.

Shraddha Kapoor has delivered some blockbuster films in her career but she has also been a part of films like, Ok Jaanu, Haseena Parkar and Batti Gul Meter Chalu, which failed to make their mark at the box office.  Shraddha is unfazed and speaking about the box office, Shraddha said, “Whether it worked at the box office or not, I am always offered different roles that are strong and well-etched out. As an actor I am always looking for something different, looking for a new challenge. I know that not all my films have worked wonders at the box-office, but that has not stopped me from experimenting.”

The stunning diva made her debut in Teen Patti in 2010. “The fate of a film is not in my hand, so numbers should not stop me from experimenting. When an actor tried avoiding formula in order to experiment, she tends to stumble. However, every time I introspect I feel it is better to go for a script that I like but is risky, than a safe script that I may do half-heartedly,” added Shraddha.

Speaking on how she takes box office failures, she said, “Those box-office results did make me sit down and introspect. I started looking out for a better understanding of how to engage and entertain the audience, which is constantly changing.” We need to be like Shraddha Kapoor and look at failures in a better way!

This year was super exhausting for Shraddha Kapoor as she had to prepare for Street Dancer 3D, Chhichhore and Sahoo, of course. Her next film Sahoo was shot with IMAX cameras and the movie’s budget is rumoured to be Rs 350 crore! Shraddha Kapoor admits she is stressed because audience have their bets on the film, the expectations are that it will be a hit. “This is the first time I have worked in such a big-budget film so I am excited but nervous as well. People have huge expectations ever since the trailer was released, so I am stressed now,” said Shraddha Kapoor.

Sahoo is slated to release on August 30, 2019!
