Shah Rukh Khan Posted The Sweetest Words For Gauri Khan On Their 28th Wedding Anniversary. He Is Truly The King Of Romance
I am a sucker for romance, especially the kind that lasts for a lifetime. Or at least promises to. Which is possibly why, when I was in high school, marriage was like a fairy tale to me. Because when two people fall in love and promise to love each other for eternity – to me, that’s romantic AF! Of course, then I grew up and realized that marriages are not all that rosy and come with a lot of responsibilities, not much from my own experience but of those around me. I learned that you and your partner won’t always be compatible, and there will be several occasions when you will feel like it’s not working out. But when I see couples growing old together and turning into a family from mere lovers, it is just too beautiful! As is Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s relationship. They are both strong individuals who complement each other perfectly. Their family is as close to perfect as it can get. And by that, I don’t mean they are flawless. What I mean is they may all be imperfect individuals but they are a family that sticks together and that is all that matters.
I mean, I look at them and marvel at the number of years they have spent together. Today, their marriage turned 28-years-old, which is as old as I am. And all I am left feeling is amazed and inspired by their romance that is on an all-time high! Shah Rukh Khan shared a picture of them on Instagram on the occasion and wrote: “Feels like forever, seems like yesterday… Nearly three decades and dearly three kids old. Beyond all fairy tales I tell, I believe this one, I have got as beautiful as beautiful can be!”

Gauri too has the sweetest words for her hubby dearest. At a book launch event earlier this year, she was asked how being a star wife affects her career, to which she said, “I think because of who he (Shah Rukh) is, there are a lot of positives. I only take the positives and I don’t take the negatives.” She further added, “Even if there are some negatives, I have to brush it aside and the reason is very simple… because he helped me while launching Gauri Khan Designs, so, he is very important to me.”

And not just that, Gauri also spoke of how SRK has done a lot for the entire fam. “Jokes apart, he has done a lot for our family. He is a great father and husband. I have to say that there are only positives being his wife and I would not like to share anything negative,” she said. Guess the King of Hearts has truly lived up to his name, both on and off screen. And just like Gauri, we can’t complain!
