Shagufta Ali Gets Some Respite As Friends Like Neena Gupta And Others Help Her Out

If there is anything that I’m blessed to have in life, then it is definitely my group of friends. No matter what the situation, they’ve always been there. Even at times when you don’t want them. But that’s the thing about them, isn’t it? They’ll stand by you no matter what. They will help you in any way that they can. And I’m not just the only one that’ll tell you that they’re there for you, Shagufta Ali will also vouch for it.

Recently, actress Shagufta Ali opened up about how for years she’s been battling financial difficulties because of her health issues and lack of work. She also spoke about how her friends and colleagues – Neena Gupta, Sumeet Raghavan, Sushant Singh, and others – have helped to go through it.

Shagufta Ali also revealed how she has been trying to deal with the entire situation all by herself but with not getting any work, it has been difficult. When the time came, she was really hesitant about asking for help but since most of her savings were over, she had no option but to.

Along with that, she added, “It’s a long treatment and an expensive one, for which I was facing financial troubles. So I finally opened up to friends in the industry, asking for help because I was unable to carry on without support.” Shagufta Ali also added, “Even the Cine And TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) reached out to me. They will be doing whatever best they can.”

Mentioning her financial woes she also said that she had to sell off her jewelry and car to survive. What added to the worsening of the financial situation was the onset of the pandemic and the lockdown. Shagufta Ali has many, many movies and TV shows to her credit and it’s sad to see that the pandemic and lack of work have driven her to this point.

Things couldn’t have been worse for Shagufta Ali and her friends coming out to help her is just so nice to see. Knowing that someone out there has your back is a comforting feeling. Your friends are the family we think of when we’re in a soup.
