Sara Ali Khan Refuses To Click Selfie With Fan With His Mask Pulled Down.

In case you haven’t been paying attention, at this moment, our country is in shambles. People are dying because basic life-saving amenities are scarce. Cases are surging through the roof. Vaccines are unavailable. I wish I could say that the second wave of the pandemic caught us off guard, but that would be a big fat lie. Everyone, including our government, was aware this would happen but we chose to throw caution to the wind anyway. The worst part of it all is that even now, people aren’t understanding why it’s essential to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Recently, actress Sara Ali Khan schooled a man at the Mumbai Airport when he pulled down his mask tried to click a selfie with her. Come on people, don’t be covidiots!

On Wednesday, Sara Ali Khan, her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan and their mother Amrita Singh arrived at the Mumbai airport. Reportedly, they were arriving back from the Maldives (surprise, surprise). When they landed the airport was crawling with paparazzi waiting to photograph the three of them. Amid all those paps, a fan thought it would be a good idea to remove his mask and walk towards Sara, who was wearing a mask and a face shield and try and click a selfie. She schooled him on the protocols of the pandemic and then walked away. Whoever that man was, he really deserved being yelled at so publicly.

A video of this interaction between Sara and this fan went viral on social media. In the video, as soon as the fan pulled down his mask and walked over to Sara, she can be heard sternly telling him to follow COVID protocols. She told him, “Kya kar rahein hai? Aap yeh bilkul mat kijiye. Yeh nahi karna chahiye (What are you doing? You shouldn’t be doing this, please don’t do it).”

After telling him off, Sara thanked the paparazzi, walked over to her car and got into the passenger seat while her brother helped their chauffeur adjust the luggage in the trunk.

Usually, celebrities like Sara Ali Khan oblige fans with selfies. After all, it’s their job to stay relevant. However, we are glad that she did not tolerate such nonsensical covidiot behaviour this time. The bottom line is that, no matter how excited you get when you spot a celebrity, wear your mask and social distance at all times. It’s not optional!
