Russian Bride Marries German Groom In Traditional Hindu Wedding In Gujarat. We Love This Cultural Mashup!

You may have seen a lot of quirky Indian weddings but what if I tell you a Russian bride married a German groom in a traditional Indian wedding? Quite surprising, right? But it’s true, the bride Julia Ukhvatkina is from Russia who tied the knot with Chris Muller who is from Germany. The couple got married as per Hindu custom at Himmatnagar village in Sabarkantha, Gujrat. And honestly, it looks so beautiful!

Julia Ukhvatkina works in Vietnam as an English and yoga teacher and is originally from Russia. Chris is the son of a wealthy German businessman and also a CEO of a German and Singapore-based company. They both met in Vietnam and fell in love, they also underwent spiritual training together. Julia is greatly inspired by Indian culture. She has already visited India 8 times. Last year, Chris went to the Kumbh Mela and is really attracted to Indian culture. He gave up his luxurious lifestyle and car in search of spirituality and is living in India for many years now.  Their love for Indian culture inspired them to get married in India following Hindu customs. The bride can be seen wearing a beautiful lehenga paired with Indian jewellery and the groom is wearing a sherwani with a pagdi.

The couple’s wish was fulfilled by their friends Nilesh Chauhan and Bhagirath Patel. Lalabhai, father of Bhagirath arranged the whole marriage and even conducted it in the absence of the bride and groom’s family because of the pandemic. The couple was very excited to get married in a unique way. They can also be seen taking the saath pheras. Now, the video of their wedding is going viral on the internet.
