Rhea Chakraborty Gets Bail And Huma Qureshi, Taapsee And Swara Demand Action Against Her Harassers
All it took for a woman’s life to come undone, and be subject to national scrutiny, public intolerance and an enormous amount of defamation was the suicide of one actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. An avalanche of the conspiracy theories of millions of Indians, prime time TV debates and what not declared that this woman was to be blamed, and we know without a shadow of doubt that this has compromised the life, career and family of actress Rhea Chakraborty. She has been granted bail after staying in judicial custody for 28 days by Bombay High Court. Rhea is now back at her residence. But what is not is her pride, reputation and image that was all ripped apart during the public trial she was put through.
And citing just how insensitive the public had been to her while she was still being tried, and for a charge of possessing drugs that had nothing to do with Sushant’s death, was Huma Qureshi as she put out a tweet in support of Rhea, claiming an apology from everyone who harassed her. She wrote, “Everyone owes #RheaChakraborty an apology .. And there must be an investigation into people who started these murder conspiracy theories .. Shame on you for destroying a girl and her family’s life for your agendas (sic).”
This came after the special medical team investigating the cause of death of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, ruled out the possibility of murder, there by giving all those who accused Rhea of conspiring against him, a reason to zip up.

Also in support of Rhea was Thappad actress Taapsee Pannu who also took to twitter to share just how much Rhea had had to go through, and that the harassers should be severely condemned and action should be taken against them. Swara Bhaskar also joined in to write, “Hey! Now that both CBI and AIIMS have concluded that #SushantSinghRajput tragically died by suicide… weren’t some people going to return their government bestowed awards? (sic).”
And as Bollywood comes together to demand justice and some respect for what Rhea had gone through, other people like Barkha Dutt and director Anubhav Sinha also stood in support of Rhea Chakraborty, reminding others of just how insensitive, inhuman and biased their conduct towards a woman was, against whom no concrete evidence has been found. Guess, Rhea’s bail comes as a slap to all the faces who didn’t think twice before tarnishing the reputation of a young woman. Or atleast, the Bollywood fraternity thinks so!
