From Better Pay To Women’s Safety, Indians Cite Reasons For Moving Abroad. And We See Their Point

I’m sure that at some point or another, you also have thought about moving abroad and settling down there. And if you’re like me (I really hope you aren’t) then you might have also readied your paperwork, done immense research, calculated the cost, and done everything else to ensure your departure overseas. Ngl, I don’t blame you – I mean, a lot of us would take huge loans in order to study or work there and some of us might even look to marry an NRI just to move out of here. However, all of this being said, there is still hardly any clarity why we desis love moving abroad. Well, you and I are not the only ones who are wondering why. A Reddit user wanted to know the reason behind the mass migrations and the answers are quite understandable.

A Reddit user named u/avengers_endlame asked Indians online why they prefer migrating abroad rather than living in their own country. From women’s safety to no work calls after hours – the answers are not only relatable but also make a lot of sense.

Check out some of the replies to why people prefer to move abroad than stay in India:
