Weird! In Pune, Man Marries His Own Daughter, Wife Files Complaint

When it comes to parenting and raising children, I am completely at a loss. I don’t know how to do it and I don’t think I am equipped to fully function as a parent. But I know that there are a few things that should absolutely not be allowed. You can follow your own parenting style, of course, but there are a few no nos. Like you would think that most people know that you cannot marry their own daughter. First of all, it’s disgusting and second of all, yuck. Children who are minors and don’t have the knowledge and ability to make such life-changing decisions for themselves. And while they can’t do it right now, they do have the right to choose their own life partner and marry the one they love, in adulthood.  And enforcing a decision on them, now that’s just bad parenting, isn’t it?

Recently, in an unusual wedding situation, a man married his own 13-year-old daughter with the help of other people. The wife at the time of the incident had gone to her parent’s house and was staying there for the last six months. When she heard that her husband, Raju Pawar married their daughter whom he had been living with, she filed a case against him and others who helped in making this marriage possible.

Raju who is a daily wage labourer in Purandarar, Pune, along with Sadasiva Pawar, Mukesh Pawar, Abbu Ramesh Pawar, and Ajay Ramesh Pawar are the accused and are charged under the Child Marriage (Prohibition) Act by the police.

Marrying a minor is a crime and marrying your own daughter is just messed up. From not giving the little girl to make a decision for herself to scarring her for life, the father must be off his rocker to think this was okay.

We’re not sure what the thinking was behind this was or how that father thought this was okay, but marrying your daughter is incest and it’s worrying that people around him also thought it was okay.
