Priyanka Chopra Says She And Husband Nick Jonas Aren’t Competing With Each Other. Their Secure Partnership Is #CoupleGoals!
Considering I’ve grown up watching copious amounts of Bollywood movies, it’s shocking that I am not fond of them anymore. I can’t be the only one who thinks mainstream Hindi movies have taken a hit, right? Although, that doesn’t mean I don’t absolutely adore a few people from the industry. One such person is Priyanka Chopra Jonas. She is a role model and an inspiration. From acting to singing to production, I am just in awe of her drive, passion and talent. Not to mention, just like every other 90s kid, I’ve always had a teensy crush on her husband, Nick Jonas. Every time I look at their pictures on social media I can’t help but hope that someday I find someone who looks at me the way they look at each other. They’re so adorable together.
Both, Priyanka and Nick, are superstars in their own right. While Priyanka has had a stellar career as an actress and now as a producer, Nick is one of the most popular singer-songwriters of our generation. In a recent podcast interview, Priyanka said that she and Nick aren’t in competition with each other and that neither of them is defined by the other.
On the podcast, she said, “I take immense pride in the fact that Nick is as multi-hyphenated as probably I am and the fact that we both come to the table as creatives and we draw on each other to become better every day. I don’t think either one of us is defined by each other. The media tries to do that more than we do.”

It’s no secret that Priyanka and Nick’s relationship has faced more than its fair share of criticism from the media. In this podcast, Priyanka said that it’s frustrating when her professional achievements are overshadowed by rumours based on her personal life. She said, “I think it is frustrating when all your achievements as blindsided by the gossip side of my life or the salacious side of my life which obviously people are excited about what my personal life will be because we’re not very public by nature. It’s a point of frustration but I also know, in pop culture, in the entertainment business, when you’re a public person that’s kind of the curiosity is the part of the job. But I have to, in my own way, draw the line. It’s hard to juggle but you’ve got to be realistic about it.”
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are really couple goals. And more so considering they aren’t threatened by each other’s success. They’re always supporting and lifting each other up. Where can I find someone like that? What a woman gotta do?
