People Are Upset That Malaika Arora Is Looking Hot At Her Own Birthday. But Jokes On Them, Because She Doesn’t Care
They say ‘age is just a number’, and usually the same people who preach this age old saying are the ones forgetting it the most. In fact, not just guilty of forgetting what it implies, people turn rather nasty when it comes to age, and even when it is not even their own age that is in question. As it has happened with the Bollywood actress Malaika Arora, who turned 46 today, a fact that may have been received well by her but certainly not by others who are thrashing the actress for celebrating it the way she did. She did it with her own money, on her own time, but people would not stop hating.

For the uninitiated, Malaika Arora, the unprecedented hottie of Bollywood just turned 46 and in occasion of turning a year older and well, hotter, she threw a star-studded party at the JW Marriott Hotel in Mumbai last night. A lot of celebrities from the film fraternity were spotted arriving at Malaika’s birthday bash, all of whom looking stunning and seemed to be having fun. Malaika too, owned her birthday was seen enjoying as well as embracing turning 46 in the best way she could – in a stunning golden dress that honestly didn’t make her look a day beyond 35.

And while we were busy being in awe of the woman and every way in which she manages to defy aging, there was an entirely different crowd of people feeling rather strongly about her age and the dress she wore while turning 46. Loads and loads of comments were spotted on the actress’s Instagram post, dismissing her for ‘not acting her age’ and passing lewd remarks about what her son would make of ‘all this’.
Now, not that it concerns any of them or that they actually have any say in her life, fashion or parenting choices,but people have taken the liberty to dissect her personal life and pass what seem like very harsh and jealous remarks. From her age, to her clothes, to her relationship with Arjun Kapoor and even her son, all of the topics were dragged in to express their very apparent disregard for the woman.
So you could go ahead, judge her all you like, trash talk her into realising her age, but the jokes on you, because this woman has made it clear that she is here to stay, and she is going to do it her own way. There is no rule book that specifies for women to act a certain way when they enter their 40s, just like there is none that restricts a mother to have fun, throw a party, or even look hot. Be it in a short dress or in yoga pants, I think it’s an established fact that Malaika will look hot either way and there is no point hating on her for it. The woman works hard maintain that hot bod and at the end of the day, if you got it why wouldn’t you flaunt it?
Perhaps, it’s time we practice the art of ‘live and let live’, and save our million dollar advice for our own selves when the time comes.
