This BADASS Video Is The Best Thing You’ll See On The Internet Today!

If you spend just three minutes on the Internet today, spend it on watching this video. It is validation for all the time we spend seeking motivation, encouragement, and empowerment in everyday life. We’re constantly bombarded with words like female empowerment and body positivity both online and offline, but there are a few among the many who, through their work and lifestyle, show us how to actually feel like the badass women we really are.

Among them are some of our brightest athletes and sportswomen, including footballer Jyoti Ann Burrett, Nike+ Training Club elevated trainers Swetha Subbiah and Urmi Kothari, surfer Ishita Malaviya, cricketers Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandana, and Shubhlakshmi Sharma, hockey player Rani Rampal, and Nike+ Run Club pacer (and full-time lawyer!) Naina Mansukhani. Spot them through the video as they go about showing us their physical prowess in the sport they’ve chosen to represent. And honest to God, there’s nothing sexier than watching Indian women kick ass in arenas that are largely represented by men!

Also starring in the video is Deepika Padukone, who spoke candidly on Facebook about how she battled depression through sports. As the daughter of celebrated badminton player Prakash Padukone, she took to sports at a young age and the lessons she learned along the way has helped transform her personal and professional life in a way that few other things can. Sports taught her humility and how to take both success and failure in her stride. What’s more, it helped her through one of the darkest phases of her life. “Two years ago, I struggled with depression. I was sinking. I almost gave up. But it was the athlete in me that gave me the strength to fight and never ever give up!”

Produced by Nike as part of its new Just Do It campaign, the infectious anthem by Gener8ion featuring American rapper Gizzle is all the motivation you need to get moving. Put on your trainers, plug in your headphones, and hit the tracks with a vengeance. As Deepika says, “Sport has made me unstoppable!”

DA DA DING to that!
