#HauteSpots: 6 New Restaurants We Can’t Wait To Try In Mumbai!

In Mumbai, you can never go hungry. The problem is picking a place to eat — the options are so many! And with the number of chic new restaurants opening up in the city in recent weeks, Mumbai is fast becoming THE place to be for discerning food lovers.

But guess what? Our darling city has LOTS more places in the offing. So get comfortable as we give you the dish on the cool new restaurants that are going to be up and running in the weeks ahead!

1. Bombay Waffle Co., Bandra (W)

The brainchild of Bombay Salad Co. chef Karishma Dalal, Bombay Waffle Co. opens its doors today in Bandra right across the road from its more healthy sister. Dalal says the menu will include traditional Belgian waffles that are crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside — just the way we like ’em! — with a variety of toppings to choose from. While both sweet and savory waffles will be on the menu, you can also enjoy some light snacks like sandwiches and burgers.

2. Anais, Palladium Hotel, Lower Parel

For those of you who love Mediterranean food, hold on to your seats. Anais, led by Atul and Gayatri Ruia, is going to open up soon inside the luxurious Palladium Hotel. We bet it’s going to be just as lovely as all the other fine-dining options currently available there.

3. TAG Kitchen and Cellar, Kamala Mills, Lower Parel

This chic, fine-dining eatery will be opening up in every restaurateur’s favourite spot — Kamala Mills — very soon. It boasts of some scrumptious food cooked by Chef Ranveer Brar. As the name suggests, there is also going to be a full-blown wine cellar here, complete with cigars and the like. Sophisticated, much?

4. Mithai, by Jiggs Kalra, South Mumbai

Jiggs Kalra of The Punjab Grill fame, will be opening an exclusive outlet just for sweets in Mumbai. If Pa Pa Ya and The Masala Library are anything to go by, we can absolutely guarantee a phenomenally delicious experience in the making.

6. KOKO, Lower Parel

This new haute spot comes to you courtesy the folks behind The Good Wife, so get ready to experience the finest Asian cuisine be it dimsums or sushi. KOKO is going to be packed with the kind of food that will have you going for seconds. Rumour has it that there’s even going to be a separate basement designed for those of you who love to bust a move or two post some good nosh.
