National Nutrition Week 2022: Kareena Kapoor Khan And Rujuta Diwekar’s Share Tips For A Good Pregnancy Diet

As much as pregnancy is a special time in a woman’s life, it is also quite one of the most important phases as well. During this phase, women get a lot of advice on what to eat and what not to eat and the dos and don’ts during pregnancy which are not coming from the doctor’s desk! It is the relatives and other nosy and panchayati people who want to chime in their unsolicited opinions.

Well, if you are an expecting mother and are fed up of wanted salaah from people, Kareena Kapoor Khan and her nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar have shared some golden advice for you in an audiobook titled, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible: The Ultimate Manual for Moms-To-Be! On account of National Nutrition Week 2022, in this book, both Bebo and Rujuta have shared great tips for moms-to-be!

The very first thing that Rujuta Diwekar says is it is essential to eat home-cooked food and keep the meal size small. She also penned down a full routine which can be followed by expecting mothers. Diwekar also said that is super healthy to consume a handful of dried fruits, nuts and fresh fruits before breakfast. To keep post-lunch slump and hunger cravings at bay, she also advises to include dahi and two spoons of ghee in the diet. Rujuta Diwekar listed folic acid, calcium, iron and proteins as the most important nutrients that a mommy-to-be and her baby need.

Kareena Kapoor Khan is a two-time-mommy herself and she, too, has shared her personal experience of the pregnancy journey and the things she ate to stay fit during that period. She said that Rujuta got her to eat a banana in the morning every day and it has become a part of her routine. Elaborating on her breakfast, Bebo said she prefers to eat simple meals like upma or poha and even two idlis sometimes.

She also went on to reveal that she had completely down on caffeine when she was pregnant with Taimur but did go back to drinking half a cup of chai in the morning when she was carrying Jeh.
