Mother-In-Law Gets Daughter-In-Law Educated, Employed, And Remarried After Son’s Death. Hindi Serials, Show This!
Put your hands in the air if you’re also tired of the same old, ghisa pita stories of how mothers-in-law are the OG bi****s that need to be feared. I’m not saying that there are no more cases of mother-in-law torturing, harassing, or abusing their daughters-in-law. I’m just saying that the times have changed for the better and more and more daughters-in-law are getting pretty cool and super supportive mothers-in-law. Let me present to you an example. A mother-in-law from Rajasthan got her widowed daughter-in-law educated, employed, and even remarried! Now, that’s a mother-in-law I’d like to have.
In Sikar, Rajasthan, Kamala Devi, a mother-in-law, got her widowed daughter-in-law, Sunita, educated, employed, and remarried. Sunita lost her husband just 6 months after her marriage due to a brain stroke and ever since then, her mother-in-law has been her support.
Sunita married Kamala Devi’s younger son Subham in May 2016, after which he went to Kyrgyzstan to pursue MBBS. It was in November of 2016 that Subham suffered a brain stroke and died, leaving the daughter-in-law a widow. The mother-in-law loved Sunita more than her sons and so after the death of her son, she took care of her like a daughter.

The mother-in-law herself works as a teacher in a government school and when her daughter-in-law became a widow, she decided to educate her further. Kamala Devi pushed Sunita to get a Masters degree and then a B.Ed. After which, Sunita got herself a job as a History teacher in school.
And now, five years later, the mother-in-law got her daughter-in-law remarried to a man named Mukesh who works as a CAG auditor in Bhopal. In fact, that is not all. Reports suggest Kamala Devi who is against dowry not only refused to take dowry when Sunita got married to her son but also refused to give dowry when she got Sunita remarried to Mukesh. The wedding of the daughter-in-law was attended by many people who were happy for the couple.
As far as I can remember, I’ve always seen (mostly through Hindi serials) that a mother-in-law can never be a mother and that the respect for them has to come from the fear you feel towards her. But hearing such stories makes me believe that times have changed. If I’m getting married I want a Kamala Devi of my own.
