Missing For 5 Days, Woman Approaches Cops To Marry Minor Friend

Thanks to our Bollywood movies, we’ve been raised with the idea of doing anything and everything for love. I mean we’ve all heard a bunch of stories where two people fought against their families, the world to be together. And as dramatic as that sounds, there are people that have taken intense, dramatic steps for love. For instance, take the case of this 20-year-old woman who went missing for five days and later approaches cops to get permission to marry her minor friend.

Sounds absurd, doesn’t it? But it is true. Recently, on Wednesday, a 20-year-old woman along with her 17-year-old minor boyfriend went to the cops after going missing for five days. She reached the Muzaffarnagar police headquarters and revealed that she wished to marry her minor friend.

Meanwhile, the family of the 20-year-old woman filed a kidnapping complaint against the 17-year-old minor friend. They filed the complaint right after she fled away with him on the 30th of July. The police for now have taken both – the 20-year-old woman and 17-year-old minor boy – into custody.

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Chhapar police station, Prem Prakash Sharma, who is handling the case, said that the woman and the minor boy are in the custody of the cops. He also said that the woman will be presented in front of the magistrate to record her statement. And any action from the cops will be taken after the statement is recorded.

While speaking to the media about her relationship with the 17-year-old minor boy, the 20-year-old woman said, “I want to stay with the youth after marriage. I had approached the police for help because my family could harm us.”

In fact, in her application that she submitted to the cops, she has accused her family of filing a false complaint against the 17-year-old minor boy. The 20-year-old woman’s application reads, “I had left my house with my friend after a dispute with my family on July 30. Later my father registered a case against him. I came to the police to record my statement. My father has registered a fake case, I had gone with the youth, no one lured me.”

It really surprises me the extent people go for love. Just take a look at this case, for example, this 20-year-old woman who wishes to marry a 17-year-old minor boy has submitted an application to the cops against her father. Love is definitely a beautiful emotion, but more often than not we tend to romanticize love. And that’s fine too, as long as both of the partners are choosing to do so and be together and fight any problems that come their way.
