Man, Upset Over His Feelings Being Rejected, Frames Woman In Fake Narcotics Case

One thing we can all kind of agree upon is that when it comes to handling rejections, men are wrose. For most men, rejection is a bruise to their ego that they need to nurse. Especially when it comes to getting rejected by a woman. For some reason, some men just can’t comprehend that a woman has said ‘no’ to them. Whether that rejection is at a workplace or for marriage. They take it as an insult which they need to avenge.

Recently, Sobha Vishwanath, a Kerala-based entrepreneur, was framed in a narcotics game after she rejected a marriage proposal. In January 2021, police found 400gms of cannabis from her boutique in Thiruvananthapuram. After six months of investigation, the police found out that she was framed by a man whom she had rejected for marriage.

After separating from her husband six years ago, while the divorce proceedings are still under process, she started her new life as an entrepreneur. She started Weavers Village in Thiruvananthapuram. And you’d think that since she was well on her way, a spurned suitor wouldn’t be a problem. Turns out, it is. On 21st January 2021, she got a call that told her that police had raided her store and found 400grams of ganja (cannabis). The narcotics team immediately booked her and took her in for questioning. She was granted bail soon after that but she was determined to prove her innocence and put this traumatizing event to an end.

Following her bail, she wrote to the Chief Minister and director-general of police that led to the case getting transferred to the Thiruvananthapuram Crime Branch. DSP Amminikuttan led the case and solved it within a span of two months. Their investigation showed CCTV footage of a domestic help’s suspicious activities. Upon questioning the domestic help revealed that was approached to work with an ex-employee, Vivek.

The help’s statement revealed that it was Vivek who kept the packets of ganja in different locations in the Sobha’s shop. In-depth investigation and questioning led to the revelation that Vivek was fired by Sobha for financial misconduct. It also revealed that he had paired up with a man named Harish Haridas to frame Sobha in a fake narcotics case.

Harish – a citizen of the UK and the son of Lord’s Hospital CEO, Dr. Haridas – supplied Vivek with the ganja packets that were planted in the shop. The reason for him doing so was because Sobha had rejected his marriage proposal. Unable to handle rejection he resorted to revenge.

With new evidence and proofs coming to light, the police cleared Sobha of all the charges, and have named Vivek and Harish as the main culprits. Vivek was arrested by the police but Harish still is on the run. When speaking to India Today TV, Sobha spoke about the trauma and distress she had gone through in the last six months. But she is happy that her name is cleared out and the police have given her a clear pass.

Being rejected is not easy. But we need all men need to realize that getting rejected by a woman is not an insult, rather a choice that we are allowed to make.
