Maharashtra Police Sniffer Dog Tracks Down A Man Accused Of Raping A 3-Year-Old Girl By Smelling Just His Slippers

Whoever said that mankind doesn’t deserve dogs was absolutely correct. They are cute, cuddly, loyal and as it turns out they can also solve crimes. Wait, isn’t this a great idea for a TV show? A detective and dog solving crimes. BRB, calling Netflix. Anyway, today we are talking about a dog that did something insanely awesome. He tracked down a man who had been accused of raping a 3-year-old girl. I am living for this. 

A sniffer dog of the Maharashtra police tracked down a 38-year-old man who has been accused of abducting and raping a 3-year-old girl in Talasari taluka of Thane district. According to the police, the accused, a daily wage worker, abducted the girl from her shanty where she was asleep with her parents. 

As soon as the mother realised what had happened she woke up and tried to get help. However, by then the man had already vanished with the little girl. Later, the girl was found in a nearby rice field. She was rushed to the hospital and the police were informed that an unidentified man had abducted and raped her.

The police rounded up three suspects but neither the little girl nor her mother could identify the culprit. That’s when the dog squad was called to work on this case. One of the dogs sniffed a pair of slippers that were found in the rice field near the girl. He then headed straight for the hutment in which the accused had been staying. 

The accused is an alcoholic who had sexually assaulted a few women before. He took the little girl to his hutment, raped her and then dumped her in the rice field. A case has been registered against him. 

The way the dog tracked down this man was pretty cool.
