Youngest Environmentalist Licypriya Kangujam’s Tweet On Delhi’s Extreme Temperature Should Not Be Ignored.

If the garmi has got you sweating like a pig, then welcome to the reality that we’ve all been ignoring. It has been confirmed that this raging heat you feel, and the heatwave in several parts of India is a consequence of what we’ve done to the environment. Environmentalists and climate activists around the world, such as Greta Thunberg, Sunita Narain, Tulsi Gowda, Jane Goodall, and more, have been working tirelessly to raise awareness about this issue. Back home, Licypriya Kangujam, one of the world’s youngest environmentalists, is working hard to further the cause. Licypriya is a ten-year-old Manipur native. On Sunday, the young leader took to Twitter to express her displeasure with Delhi’s deteriorating weather, which is becoming increasingly hazardous every day.

Licypriya’s tweet mentioned the temperature in Delhi, which was 49.2 degrees Celsius at the time (120 degrees Fahrenheit). She further expressed her discomfort with the weather while out shopping. She stated that heatwaves are dangerous for children and also breathing becomes difficult.

The tweet drew a variety of responses. Many Twitter users voiced their opinions on the situation, calling for an end to deforestation. Others, with their brains perhaps addled by the heat, trolled her.

The fact that many parts of the country are experiencing extreme heat is undeniable. The disruption of nature’s balance has resulted in changes in weather conditions over time. The issue is being addressed by a small group of environmentalists and has also been recognised by world leaders. However, the current situation requires a coordinated effort and awareness.
