Lakshika Dagar, 21, Becomes The Youngest Sarpanch In Madhya Pradesh. She’s Put Forth An Impressive Portfolio!

Age is never a barrier to achieving any feat in life. Just the right determination, motivation, and hard work are the key to success. This sometimes just seems to be words and would feel impossible in real life, however, we have examples around us who prove that these aforementioned lines are just not some random sayings. It can become true if you want. In the recent news from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, we have the youngest sarpanch from the state-Lakshika Dagar. Lakshika achieved this feat at the age of 21. Clearly, she had her priorities set.

Lakshika Dagar, a 21-year-old girl from Ujjain, won the three-tier panchayat elections and became Madhya Pradesh’s youngest Sarpanch (village head). The panchayat elections were held for the position of the sarpanch in the Chintaman Jawasia gram panchayat. As per the news, there were a total of 8 candidates and Lakshika defeated all of them and won by 487 votes. 

Talking about the educational background of the youngest sarpanch, Lakshita holds a post-graduation diploma degree in Mass Communication from Ujjain. While talking to the media, Lakshika said that soon after she filed her nomination papers, her aim was just to work toward the development of the village, as per news. Her manifesto also highlighted the problems of the village like drinking water and street light, Lakshika’s manifesto also offered that the problems of the houseless would be dealt with as they shall get the benefit of the housing scheme. Coincidentally, Lakshika was elected as Madhya Pradesh’s youngest lady sarpanch a day before her birthday. The announcement of the election results created a very happy environment in the village. Voters overwhelmingly supported Lakshika’s manifesto.
