Kareena Kapoor Shares How Mother-In-Law Sharmila Tagore Still Hasn’t Been Able To Meet Her Second Child
As my birthday gets nearer, my mother often recalls instances from the time after she had just given birth to me. From telling me about how I looked to who all had come to visit my mother and meet me, her stories fill me with a lot of joy. Knowing that the hospital room had turned into half a village, it was a delight knowing that so many people were excited to see me. A feeling that kids being born in the era of Covid will not get to experience, much like actress Kareena Kapoor Khan’s newest born son.
Having welcomed their second child in the month of February, the star couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have been very quiet with no images being shared on social media except the occasional slip up by grandpa Randhir Kapoor. And while everyone including the fans and paps got a glimpse of the baby, Taimur’s own grandmother has still not been able to meet him yet.
Coming straight from Kareena Kapoor Khan during an interview, in a video message that Bebo sent to Saif’s mom and her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore, Kareena mentioned how corona had kept her from seeing her grandson.

She said, “The fact that this whole year has gone by and we have actually not been able to spend as much time as we used to. You have not been able to see the new addition to our family but we are just waiting to actually come together, spend some time with you.” Speaking well and highly of her mother-in-law and the kind of relationship she shares with her, Kareena was very appreciative of her.
Calling herself “lucky” to know her personally and to be able to call her “mother-in-law”, Kareena went on to say, “When it comes to talking about such an icon and legend, what is left to say? The whole world knows that my mother-in-law, who I am lucky to call my mother-in-law, is one of the most elegant and graceful women to have walked the earth. But I have been lucky to know her deeper than that, which is that she is warm, she is loving, caring and someone who is always there not just for her children but her grandchildren, daughter-in-law.”
