As if we haven’t crushed on their chemistry enough, Deepika Padukone and bae Ranveer Singh are going to throw some more mush in our faces with their upcoming movie ’83

Based on the life of legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev and the World Cup of 1983, the movie will also showcase the love story of Kapil Dev and his wife Romi Bhatia. Thank god for that, ’cause I doubt I could handle a full-on sports drama.

If you’re Indian or a cricket fan, you probably know of the epic match that won India the title of world cricket champions under the leadership of captain Kapil Dev (unless you’re a millennial, in which case you have no clue). What very few know, however, is how his lady love walked out of the stadium when India started losing wickets and returned on the verge of their victory.

(Now if Anushka Sharma had dared to pull off something like that, this might have been a lot more fun, no? But I digress.)

After their super hit films Ramleela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, we can’t wait to see Ranveer and Deepika in action in their first movie together after tying the knot. The drama seems too hot to handle!
