Kabir Singh’s Tera Ban Jaunga Is Out And Shahid Nails The Part of The Over-Possessive Boyfriend

Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer, Kabir Singh has been making headlines for its amazing songs and more! The movie revolves around the story of an alcoholic surgeon who goes on a self-destructive path after his ex-lover marries someone else. Well, you could call this the modern version of Devdas but we need to watch the film before we get all  judgemental. Speaking of the films heartwarming soundtrack, Kabir Singh is out with a new song called, Tera Ban Jaunga and it will make you feel lovestruck but also question how we view love a little bit!

For all those who are in love with Bekhayali from Kabir Singh, the song, Tera Ban Jaunga will definitely be a treat. From sweet nothings to being madly in love to the point where it gets scary, Shahid and Kiara’s relationship grows with the song! Shahid Kapoor’s character spreads fear among those trying to harm his ladylove, and actually goes to all lengths just to see her happy again. The two look incredibly happy and in love but Shahid’s scary character does make you think.

We all definitely want someone who loves us intensely and who would go above and beyond for us. But at the same time we need our space in a relationship and have our ‘me’ time. Similarly in the music video we see how Shahid’s and Kiara’s chemistry sparkles on screen but you can also see the subtle shifts in the character’s stance going from loving to overly possessive. The storyline obviously addresses how love can became toxic. However, that’s the video bit of it. The song itself is something we would listen to on loop!

When asked about the intensity of his character in the movie, Shahid said, “It was almost schizophrenic because the two worlds are such contrasts. Had I been single, living alone, I might have immersed myself in this dark zone for six months, as I did during Udta Punjab. But this time I am married, a father, so I had to sanitize myself before returning home to protect my children from the negative energy. I couldn’t carry Kabir’s emotional baggage back so I had to flip roles after pack-up. it took a lot out of me because not only does this character degenerate into a loner in a self-destructive mode, I had to also create three different silhouettes, one of which needed me to be out of shape.”

Kabir Singh is slated to release on June 21, 2019 and we are excited to watch the film mainly for Shahid because it’s been a while since we have seen him on screen and the pairing is also unusual.
