Italian Minister And PM Candidate, Giorgia Meloni Posts Video Of Ukrainian Woman Being Raped
Sexual violence against women has become a raging issue across the world. The voice to protest against it is growing stronger each day, however, sexual assaults and rapes make news every other day. In a recent incident reported from a city in Italy, a Ukrainian woman was raped on the streets, and to bring this incident to light, Italian leader Giorgia Meloni posted the sexual assault video on Twitter. Since the video went against the company’s policy, it was immediately brought down.

Italian leader, Giorgia Meloni who is also a Prime Ministerial candidate posted the sexual assault video on her official Twitter handle, however on Tuesday, the company removed it from the platform. As per the news, Giorgia Meloni in her reason stated that she could not keep her mouth shut against the horrible acts happening to women. Meloni posted the blurred video after the incident was reported on Sunday night by a newspaper. The leader also released a video statement on Twitter in which she said that she wanted justice for the victim and strongly resents the crime.
Giorgia Meloni’s intention was to extend her solidarity to the Ukrainian woman as per her video. Going by the reports on this news. It is being stated that the Ukrainian was raped by a migrant who was an asylum seeker from Guinea. The Italian authorities also informed that the accused has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing. As per the news, the police are also looking into the matter of how the video got released.
