Ira Khan Gets Candid About Parents And Their Sacrifices And She’s On Point

That our parents love us, unconditionally too at that, is no surprise. But that, our parents have sacrificed too much for us, given up their dreams or happiness to secure our own, is something we often fail to acknowledge. Whether it is either of our parents giving up their jobs to take care of us when we’re little, or working over time to make sure our needs and wants are met, they always seem to go the extra mile. And while most of us forget that over time, one who hasn’t and remembers all that her parents have done for her, is star child Ira Khan.

Daughter of Dhoom 3 actor Aamir Khan, Ira Khan who has always been very vocal about her life and even her experiences, has recently opened up about a few realisations that she has had about the kind of sacrifices that her parents have made for her over the years.

Using the medium of Instagram, where Ira opened up about her parents in an instastory, Ira was heard saying, “Past few years I’ve felt like my mom and all parents seem to have to give up on a lot for their kids. I don’t know if I could really do that for anyone. I must have ruined so many holidays for my mom and my dad. Like you can’t do anything. You have to take your child everywhere with you which is fine but then there’s so many things you can’t do because you’ve to look after them.”

In another clip, Ira went on to say, “No movies that are PG 13, have to end your day when your child is tired and wants to go home. Can’t go off spontaneously with friends because they have school the next day. And I still call my mama for help.”

She goes on to wonder if she could ever do that for anyone, and honestly, we wonder the same thing every now and then. Perhaps, it is good to acknowledge our parents for everything that they do and have done for us, just Ira here. After all, without them, we’d be nowhere.
