IAS Officer Shares Old Picture With Boyfriend-Turned Husband And Story Behind It; Tweet Goes Viral

As a literature student, I’ve always had a thing for stories. Wanting to know how it all started, how it all went, and how it is going. And if it is an interesting one, then there is no stopping me—my curiosity always gets the better of me. From all the stories that I read, the stories I enjoy the most are of the real-life people who made it in life. And recently I came across one such story that made my heart warm was the story of an IAS officer. The IAS officer took to Twitter to share her love story and it went viral for all the right reasons.

Recently, IAS officer Chandni Chandran, in three tweets shared a picture of her then-boyfriend and now-husband, and also shared the story behind the picture. If nothing else, the story is cute and made everyone go ‘aww’.

The picture itself had appeared in a newspaper in 2016 at the same time when the UPSC 2015 results were announced. And even though now she is an IAS officer, she didn’t clear her exams in 2015, but took the newspaper article as a ‘ sign’  to study hard and work hard to achieve her goal. And she did.

She became an IAS officer that is currently serving as SDM of Tripura’s Kanchanpur. Her tweets not only spoke about her journey of becoming an IAS officer but also spoke about the sweet gesture that her husband did by contacting the photographer who had taken those pictures and got a copy of them mailed to him.

Her story is adorable and inspiring. It talks about how failure is in actuality the first step to success. And if a person really is passionate about something and badly wants it then only hard work and dedication will help them achieve that.

It also speaks volumes about how a woman doesn’t necessarily have to choose between love and career. If the partner is supportive and they both share an understanding, then both of them can help each other achieve their goals.
