Hansika Motwani Is 28 Years Old And Completes 20 Years In The Industry. Wait, What About Her Childhood?
I had a very merry childhood, as far as I remember at least. From going out and playing in the sun during the day, to watching cartoons with my brother and learning how to dance early on, my childhood was filled with friends, junk food and lots and lots of outdoor activities. Nothing like Hansika Motwani’s, who started her acting career in Bollywood at the tender age of 8.

And today, when she is 28, she has already completed 20 years in the industry, technically even surpassing Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra for that matter. The young actress got her first break in a TV show called Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand when she was just 8 years old, playing a child artist by the name of Tina Singh. Soon after, she jumped into other famous TV shows like Shaka laka boom boom , Son pari and Ekta Kapoor’s show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Her first film in Bollywood was one of the most loved films, Koi Mil Gaya.. with Preity Zinta and Hrithik Roshan, which got her much deserved appreciation and exposure. She then acted in a few more films namely – Aabra ka daara, Jaago, and Amitabh Bachchan’s Hum Kaun hai until she finally started stepped into the world of reality TV shows. Now, the list of her achievements and semi-recognised works would keep going, but what we can’t stop wondering is that if she was doing all of this in her childhood and early teens, when was she enjoying being her age?

Don’t get us wrong, we absolutely applaud the actress for her early start at the career and her hard work. But to think of it that during the time when one should be playing hide and seek, she was busy being at sets and directed into acting debuts, is kind of sad. A child must have the bandwidth to be and act her own age from time to time, and sometimes starting so early on, might just mature you way before you ever need to.
In fact, there was a time when everyone was surprised at how quickly Hansika had adulted and gone straight into the role of the leading lady in Himesh Reshmaiya’s movie Aap ka Suroor. It was then that rumours of her taking hormonal injections surfaced. Even though the actress could not work wonders in Bollywood with a series of flops, she made a relevant space for herself in South Indian movie industry.

However, we still feel for the woman for not having the kind of a normal childhood that we all deserve. As underrated as it might be, no child should have had to put in front of a camera so early on and compromise on the golden period of their lives. Childhood after all, gives you some of the best memories, one that last a lifetime.
