Four Men Gang Rape And Kill Two Minor Girls By Forcing Them To Drink Insecticide

Rape cases in India have been on the rise but this isn’t news to you. Especially with the lockdown being imposed, the cases are going through the roof. And if rape wasn’t enough, these men – rapists – ensure that the victim(s) doesn’t survive the trauma by killing them. Most of these brutal and horrifying rape cases have come in from Haryana where the gender ratio is skewed and alarming. Take the very recent case of two minor sisters, who were raped by four men, and later they forced the rape victims to drink insecticide that caused their death.

Recently, in a village in Haryana’s Sonipat, two minor sisters were raped and killed by four men. The four men forced the two rape victims to drink insecticide that caused their eventual death. A case has been filed under the relevant sections of the IPC.

According to the SHO of Kundli police station Ravi Kumar, the four accused men were migrant workers between the age of 22 and 25years and lived in a rented room next to the two minor rape victims. 

On the night of 5th and 6th August 2021, the four men forcibly entered their house and threatened their mother who is a laborer. And later the two minor girls were raped by those four men. The four accused men then forced the two rape victims to consume insecticide.

The four rapists asked the mother of the rape victims to lie to the police and tell them that the two minor girls were bitten by a snake. The condition of both the minor rape victims was deteriorating rapidly and so were rushed to the hospital. On reaching the hospital, one of the sisters was declared dead and the other died during the course of her medical treatment.

When speaking to the SHO of Kundli police station Ravi Kumar about the rape case of two minor victims, he said, “ Fearing for her life, initially the mother of the girls had told hospital authorities too that the two sisters had been bitten by a snake… However, as we had suspicions, we questioned the woman intensely and she broke down telling the real story.”

The post-mortem reports of the two rape victims also confirmed that the minor girls had faced sexual assault and poisoning. After that, there was no stopping the police. The police immediately took the necessary steps and the four rapists were arrested by them on Tuesday.

It really shocks me and scares me to know that this is the level of inhumanity the men in our country have reached. Four men not only raped two minor girls by threatening their mother but also then made the two rape victims drink insecticide to hide their crime. It really is disgusting to know that such men even exist. We as a society need to raise our boys and men to be respectful of girls and women. We need to teach them what consent means and respect the boundaries drawn.
