From Droupadi Murmu To Taapsee Pannu, Congratulatory Messages Pour In For PV Sindhu On Her Golden Win At CWG’22

On August 8, Monday, the final day of the Commonwealth Games, Indians got to witness yet another historic moment, when PV Sindhu had a sweeping victory in the badminton women’s single event. Sindhu defeated Canada’s Michelle Li in a neck and neck match. With this, PV Sindhu marked her first golden win at the Commonwealth Games. The moment this news broke, Twitter was overjoyed and many celebrities and politicians took a moment to hail PV Sindhu’s achievement on this.
Our recently elected President, Droupadi Murmu took to her Twitter account to acknowledge Sindhu’s golden win and congratulate her. Madam President in her tweet wrote that PV Sindhu’s win has won millions of hearts. Her tweet further read that Sindhu showed an impeccable performance on the badminton court and has made “Tiranga fly high.”

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is known for boosting the confidence of our athletes also extended his wishes to PV Sindhu. In his tweet, he referred to her as the “champion of the champions” and wrote that she has repeatedly shown excellence in her performance.
