These Summer-Approved Shorts Are Waiting For You To DIY!
Okay, summer is here. We can tell without looking at the mercury coz we are literally feel the heat! Clothing is starting to become a bit of a hurdle to existing and I’m sure you are waiting to whip out your shorts from last year. Then again, you’ve been wearing these shorts for three summers now. You don’t have to wear your old shorts the old way! Give your boring shorts a summer-approved makeover! You can do this at home and give your shorts an instant upgrade! Sounds good? Here’s how to do it.
LACE & PEARL SHORTS
Things you need:
- Shorts
- Fabric Glue
- Scissors
- Lace
- Pearls
Steps to follow:
1. Apply two lines of fabric glue at the rim of the pocket.
2. Glue the ribbon in place and cut the excess.
3. Apply fabric glue at the hem of the shorts, the same way you applied it at the pocket.
4. Glue the lace all around the hem and let it dry completely before moving onto the next step.
5. Make horizontal lines of dots at a gap of 2 inches away from each other with fabric glue.
6. Stick pearls on it and let it dry.
7. Repeat the same steps on the other side of the shorts.
Tada! You are all set with the cute lace and pearls shorts!
GEOMETRIC PATTERN SHORTS
Things you need:
- Shorts
- Scotch Tape
- Scissors
- White and Silver Acrylic Paint
- Sponge
Steps to follow:
1. Take a 1 cm wide tape and create a geometric pattern on the shorts.
2. Mix the silver acrylic paint and dab it on the edges of the tape. Don’t cover the entire surface, leave some parts of it blank.
3. Take white acrylic paint and cover the remaining edges around the tape.
4. Once the paint dries completely, carefully remove the tape.
5. Voila! You are all set to rock this edgy pair of shorts.
