Delhi Police Helps Solve A Food Crisis By Helping A Woman Get Cat Food For Her 8 Kittens During This Lockdown. Aww.

For someone like me, who hates picking favourites and can’t choose between my parents even though my dad would win by a margin (unless my mother reads this and decided to disown me), I do have gone out of my way and instinct to say that in this lockdown, I do have a favourite and that has been the police. Never in the world did I imagine to be saying this out loud, but considering we also didn’t imagine a man eating bat soup would cost us half a year in quarantine, so there is that. Especially when it is about the Delhi Police and another tale of them helping people out during this pandemic.

After having heard of enough heroic stories of how police across all states has been vigilant and compassionate in helping people stay sane and safe, we have come across yet another piece of news, that involves of them coming out in the best light and rightly so. This after the Delhi Police recently helped out a woman named Tahseen Khan, to get cat food for her 8 cats that she fosters at her place.

Living in Shaheen Bagh, Tahseen Khan had placed an order with a pet shop near to her place in New Friends Colony in South Delhi, however due to the strict restrictions on transport and delivery at this sensitive time the delivery could not be made. Troubled at the thought of not having enough food to feed her kittens and keeping them alive in this lockdown, Tahseen decided to reach out to the Delhi Police for help.

She dialled up the Shaheen Bagh SHO Vijay Pal Singh, trying to explain to him the situation she found herself in. And boy did the Delhi Police go out of their way. The SHO, Vijay Pal Singh called the owner of the pet shop himself, collected the food and had it delivered to the doorstep of Tahseen Khan. And there it was, the police coming to the rescue again, and helping us through these difficult times as best as they can.

Be it something as little as this or big as patrolling and staying on the ground to ensure public getting out on the roads is still socially distant, the police officers have indeed become our knight in shining armours and we haven’t felt more grateful towards them than now, when they manage to come through to us and support us for our own good.
