She took to Twitter to share her resentment.

Nagma Morarji On Not Being Nominated For Rajya Sabha

In her tweet, the 47-year-old actress/politician wrote that the Congress President, Sonia Gandhi, had ‘personally’ committed to accommodating her in the Rajya Sabha in 2003-04. She also wrote that the party was not power when she joined it. Further, she went on to remind that it has been 18 years since then that the party has not gotten opportunity to accommodate her in the Rajya Sabha. Nagma went on to write that Imran Pratapgarhi has been chosen for the Rajya Sabha seat from Maharashtra, then, is she ‘less deserving’.

In another tweet, Nagma went on to write that her 18-year penance fell short in front of Imran Pratapgarhi. Pratapgarhi, who is Congress party’s minority department chairperson and hails from Uttar Pradesh has been given nominated from Maharashtra.

Politician Pawan Khera who is from Rajasthan also did not find his name in the list and wrote on Twitter that maybe his penance was not sufficient enough to get nominated.
